Civitan-Sparks Clinics
UAB
Sparks Clinics provides an extensive range of interdisciplinary clinics
offering comprehensive diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of the
needs of children and adults with mental retardation and developmental

Each
of the Civitan-Sparks Clinics consults with clients in a context
that considers the unique needs of individuals and their family
members.
Additionally, the are a site for
clinical research programs at the UAB
Civitan International Research Center.
The
strength of the Center's interdisciplinary approach to delivering
services is clearly evident in the Civitan-Sparks Clinics. Faculty,
students, and staff, representing many different disciplines,
apply their
skills in a collaborative manner, ensuring that clients receive
state-of-the-art evaluations and well-rounded assessments of
their individual needs.
Many
of the Civitan-Sparks Clinic's services and training programs
are part of the federally funded University
Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education
Research and Service (UCEDD)
that has served the people of Alabama for more than 30 years. |
